A complete database system enables traceability of performance data for each battery cell

The battery cell data traceability system is the core platform for intelligent manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries. It assigns a unique identity identifier (such as a QR code) to each battery cell and integrates MES (Manufacturing Execution System), testing equipment, and databases to achieve precise traceability and control of performance data throughout the entire lifecycle from raw materials to finished products.

The standard workflow includes the following three core steps:

Identity assignment and data collection: At the starting point of the process (such as winding or gluing process), the laser marking machine assigns a unique QR code (or barcode) to each battery cell as its "identity card". Afterwards, at each process node (such as rolling, slitting, winding, liquid injection, transformation, volume separation, etc.), all processing equipment and testing instruments (such as thickness gauges, weight scales, internal resistance testers) will automatically scan the QR code and upload the process parameters (such as pressure, temperature) and full inspection results (such as thickness, weight, capacity, internal resistance, OCV voltage) of this process in real time and associate them with the dedicated data link of the battery cell in the central database.

Data storage and association: The central database (usually a time-series database) stores a massive amount of multidimensional data of all battery cells, forming a complete "data archive". This system can not only trace the history of individual battery cells, but also associate information such as raw materials, equipment parameters, operators, etc. of the same batch (Batch/Lot) to achieve data interconnection.

Traceability analysis and application: By entering the QR code of any battery cell through the system terminal, the complete production history (forward traceability) and all similar data can be instantly queried in reverse; You can also input any process parameters or performance indicators to quickly locate all eligible cells (reverse traceability). This function is widely used for precise elimination of defective products, process capability (CPK) analysis, process optimization, and customer complaint analysis.
